Remember When?
You know that saying about trends, "if you remember the first time around, then you probably shouldn't try it again?" That's never really applied to me, but it must've been about Grade 6 when there was nothing cooler than baggy 'modrobes' pants and butterfly clips. Though I'm not about to resurrect butterfly clips, I did manage to thrift a $5 pair of crazy purple modrobes on the weekend. Though I wasn't planning on wearing them outside, I wanted to experiment with pants that weren't superskinny for once and I'm kind of pleased with the results.

Hmm, strangely enough I am kind of liking those pants... but the shoes, oh my, the shoes are even better... where on earth did you find them..?
Those pants defnitely looks better than the butterfly clips (which still make me shudder when I think of them..)

modrobes were the staple of my wardrobe when i was 13-14. that was only 8 years ago!
we do not need a revival. (plus, they are not workable.)
if i start to see JNCOs around, i will give up.

i love the trousers, i live in Britain, so they were never in fashion over here, the colour is so cool, not too sure if the boots go though, they would have gone much better with a pair of massive black platforms or heels. Love your style, it is pretty awesome :)

I think they look really cool on you. But then again, I don't remember the first time around (I didn't have any idea of what trends were until 6th grade...).
the shoes are the best, but i think the first thing i said to myself was "the shirt looks like it came from the Comme Des Garcons for H&M line".
either way, i think the purple works nicely. :D
ahh, modrobes and butterfly clips! modrobes were my thing in grade 8 and 9! i could see them working these days with a rolled cuff like that, but not the super baggy, ripped hems way i used to wear them.
