Wham Bam, Party!

These are the only presentable outfits from this week.
I feel like while most bloggers are torturing themselves in heels, I'm sitting here in the corner going "I dress for comfort and still have fun!" The Michigan sweatshirt is fuzzy and still rules. Win-win situation!

Today's outfit: Kind of classy and neutral? I have a huge fetish for cuffing my pantlegs. It makes me feel a little like a signatory of the Declaration of Independence.

Love is in the details - old man brogues and sparkly socks.

Oh, and a question: Will a UK size 6 Doc Martens fit a ladies size 8? If anyone reading owns a pair of Docs, how do the sizes compare? I have my eye on these clunky monsters and want to make sure they'll fit before I bid!

Another P.S. -Listen to Blueprint by Fugazi!!!!

OH and I remember who you remind me of!

The actress Cobie Smulders, who is also canadian, and she's on the tv show How I met your Mother.

Wow the second outfit is one of the favorites I've seen you in!
I'm definately absorbing it into my memory.

PS I too am watching a pair of docs on eBay. They're going to be very big this year/next year.... again

Both outfits are so fun!

I love the leggings on the first (AA?) and the second is very librarian-chic/old man chic in the best hipster sort of way.

they'll fit you, they might be kinda big though.

If I had your awesome collection of flat shoes I'd be wearing them all the time too! :)

And I'm sorry I have no idea about the UK/US sizing.

Comfort is good, and esp love the balance between slouchy and chic in the second outfit. As for the boots, I'm an UK size 5 which works out to be an US 8, so I think they would be a size bigger!

If you haven't already got the shoes, mine are a 7 too and they fit my 8.5-9 feet comfortably, so they might be every-so-slightly on the large side.

And I forgot to say those shoes are AMAZING! And I love the cuffed jeans too.

I was wondering how expensive you think what you wear is. I'm a broke college student, but I want to start dressing more like how I feel. haha. If that makes sense...anyway, if you could ballpark how much you spend on the average outfit, it would be appreciated. Or maybe do a "if you're poor" post. haha.

I was visiting Harvard this weekend and thought back to your cool college sweatshirt looks - it inspired me to buy a Harvard sweatshirt! I need to come up with some cool oufits now..

I love the look of the second outfit. I want to get a pair of wingtip mens shoes. I keep hoping I'll run across a pair at my goodwill store.
