I took a morning jaunt over to Value Village with some friends today and our timing was Mary Poppins-perfect. I didn't manage to find any worthwhile clothing, but we bought loads of old records that we can make funky bowls out of. I really need to get out like this more often, but exams are next week so that probably won't be happening.
But if you ever have a spare afternoon and some records that you wouldn't mind destroying, then heat up the oven and let the records melt over a bowl - you shape it once its out of the oven.

That is SO COOL. Next weekend DIY project, for sure.
And I still adore those jeans on you so. much.
One of my friends pots all of her plants in 9" vinyls; I'm a big fan of vinyls as housewares.
i LOVE my so-called life. it's amazing and claire danes does a great job. not to mention i love her plaid shirts.
sorry, a bit random since i should comment this on that post :s
Love how you wear the jeans!! And epic DIY. I see those bowls at a local store for 28 bucks-um, bitch PLZ. I'd rather go Isabel and do it myself!
how did you do that to your jeans? if you have the link, that would be amazing
and the record thing is a brilliant idea
:)
So those jeans are amazing!!!
Omg! My cousin did this a lot when I was little! THE OBJECT OF MY CHILDHOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the record bowl. Your outfit is cool--basic with a huge twist.
do NAY like the cut of those jeans. you are adorable but the jeans do nothing for you. as for the wash/DIY factor, to each their own, they're pretty cool if that's your thing!
thank you so much for your comment :D you're really nice
I've seen a ton of those record bowls at the markets. I'm not sure if you should eat anything off of them.
I also like the way you pulled off acid washed/bleached jeans. Very casually.
ah, I love vinyls. AND you can make bowls out of them. And what better to put in that than lemons
but Value Village bothers me sometimes- their old clothing is often overpriced .
Oh just love your bleach jean, and the destroy vinyl
Is there a special technique to making the record bowl?
