Pills

This is my Susannah Kaysen/Girl, Interrupted outfit. It's because I remember frowm two different movie scenes she's wearing a blue and white striped sweater and a beaded cardigan. So I just pulled those two nuggets of inspiration together and created a simple boring outfit for a perfectly quaint day. I went with my mom to a little town fairly close to where we live to pick up yarn and thick needles for the Rodarte-esque sweater I am attempting to knit, look at junk shops and eat portobello mushroom sandwiches. While at lunch I saw the most amazing dressed old woman, definitely a candidate for Advanced Style. She was wearing this massive grey (faux?) fur coat, black leggings, chunky knit socks and these pink and purple boots that looked like a cross between bowling shoes and Doc Martens. She was so badass! I can't wait to look like that at 75.

Love your outfit :) Susannah Kaysen's character was a definite inspiration in my style. Was the final push I needed to chop off my long locks when I was in grade 10!

Cute outfit.
Your hair looks really good too.
And, dude, I totally just saw a woman like that. LONG fur coat, bright pink dress underneath, but she was wearing keds, not punk boots. I thought she looked magnificent. And just to walk to the grocery store!

I love your hair. Are you doing something different with it?

Love the outfit, and I would also love to hear how the sweater comes along. I haven't quite mastered the art of sweater making yet... or you know tried to knit a sweater.

I adore the beaded cardigan. And stylish old women=amazing. Why recede into disgustingly hued sweats? =P

This is an awesome outfit - you make the cardigan look so cool and non-frumpy!
