This is exactly the sort of 'Arctic Princess' look I had in mind when discussed a few days ago. The American Apparel circle scarf really does bundle you up like no other - I could hardly do my coat up over top! The only thing missing is Sorel boots instead of these lame no name pieces of crap that I've had since the beginning of high school (5 years ago!). No really, the boots actually say 'No Name'. I think that's supposed to be the brand name or something. How clever...
Actually, finding Sorels is proving to be not a challenge, but an epic Quest of Grail-like proportions. I've been to two local stores plus some out of town and none are stocked in any ladie's size under 11. I have nowhere else to look but the internet, but I'm wary of buying there because I know nothing about Sorel sizing. Perhaps Arctic Princess will have to wait until next year...

woot woot sweater
woah, i like the winter headband. lately i've been dressing a little more spring-y, so maybe i should actually accept that it is january and dress warmly.
This look is fabulous.
The name of your blog rings a bell...so why don't I come read this all the time?! Seriously, it's fantastic, I'm hooked.
your last photo makes you look likesont sort of lovely silent film star....
If you can only find shoes that are too big for you, you could try stuffing them with a light fabric or toilet paper. Just make sure it doesn't come out while your walking or something! It's a great tactic if you find one-of-a-kind vintage shoes that are too big.
