La La La

I am completely enamoured with CDG's Fall 09 collection, so of course today's outfit was inspired by that. I'm so glad that I bought this sweater about a month ago - its quickly become one of my favourite wardrobe pieces to play around with.

Haha, since I am so obsessed with The Selby, I though I'd take a few Selby-ish shots of my own. I currently reside in a small crappy dorm room, so its nothing spectacular of course. It just gives you an idea of what I have managed to surround myself with and what I see on a daily basis. A calender with a ton of deadlines right above my desk/work station? How convenient. Oh, and I don't really know who the Violet Archers are, I just found the poster lying around and took it because I thought it looked cool.

Great outfit, you can see where the inspiration comes from.
I love the violin back girl under Violet Archers, it's subtle repetition of "viol", interesting.

oh my goodness, that "TV SUCKS, RIDE YOUR BIKE" sticker is perfect

where did you get it?

ps: i love the shoes. i've been wanting to get two-tone shoes like that for a while now, especially after doing a research project on the nineteen-fifties and elvis, haha.

Rei, how i love thee. Totally amazing interpretation of the collection btw. I wish i could do some selby type thing, but my moms super ocd about cleaning and my room's completley devoid of additional ornaments :/

eee, the crimethink posters! we had those in my old house. the book days of war nights of love has some good ideas in it (some crazy ones too) and fantastic historical instances of anarchy if you haven't read it yet

OH no, my grudge is nothing against the Vagina Monologues, I go every year. What I hate is she feels she has to base her life on what she thinks she SHOULD do as a liberal instead of what her actual passions are. I know it's her life, but it's just sad because she puts all this pressure on herself to fit in and be a stereotype! I want to do the Vagina Monologues one day.. except I'd probably giggle saying vagina at first because I'm 12? Ha.

K, I looove the shrug under the shirt, it looks like you have these mystical wings and I want a tattoo like the woman in the poster! SO neat!
