Zardoz changed my life.

Not wearing anything too interesting today, just my classic fish sweater and a leopard scarf for some good ol' aquatic/jungle animal juxtaposition. School is killing me but that doesn't mean I wasn't able to stay up until 3am watching Zardoz, possibly the most bizarre cult film of all time. I love it. Please watch the youtube trailer, you will not be disappointed! Hope everyone had a lovely St. Patrick's Day yesterday.

Zardoz looks pretty bizarre, but I am loving his orange hotpanted look, weirdly like that guy outa Of Montreal (although I doubt he has the "gift of death"). Also thanks for recommending Freaks and Geeks, that show (sadly) is my live, Jeff is my favourite!

p.s Respect to the umbrella!

Wow, Sean Connery in a loin cloth! I think this movie possibly influenced others, Lord of the Rings, Superman, Planet of the Apes, and Gallagher's Comedy Show, to name a few.
I never thought of wearing a scarf with a sweatshirt, it looks great. xo

I highly enjoy the aquatic/jungle juxtaposition. And also that you used the word juxtaposition which is one of my faves.. lol

zardoz is nuts, I agree. . . still don't know what was going on in that movie (but Sean Connery has killer boots, no?). In the vein of truly epic cult films -- check out 'The Holy Mountain' by Alejandro Jodorowsky. It will blow your mind, possibly in a good way.

Also I love that scarf!

I love Zardoz!! I dressed up as one of those ladies with a purple babushka one halloween, I wish I had pics of it. I think you would of approved!

hehe Zardoz is fantastic!! but yes, in a rather bizarre kind of cheesy way.
I like your picture with the umbrella, just the simplicity : )

I just finished watching "Zardoz" on your recommendation. Amazing. Bizarre. Wonderful. I think I'm going to have nightmares about Sean Connery in man-panties.

You LIKE 'Zardoz'? I thought there was no way it could not be awesome when I saw a gigantic floating stone head in need of bridgework vomiting rifles onto mask-wearing homicidal maniacs. But it somehow managed to screw that up with an hour and forty minutes of empty, vapid philosophising. Don't get me wrong, I love freaky movies, like 'A Clockwork Orange', but 'Zardoz' is just an overstuffed acid trip with no substance. I thought I would go blind every time Connery's surging package was onscreen. And the off-putting women. Enough with the off-putting women! And when did Zed and Francesca ever have any kind of romantic link prior to the last fifteen minutes of the movie? I thought she wanted to kill him. Their son, by the way, seems to be 'Yor: Hunter From the Future'. If you want to see a freaky movie that, unlike Zardoz, has enough pure camp to sustain itself, check that out. If you can find it. It features Reb Brown of 'Space Mutiny' fame. You have a nice sense of style, by the way. I love those Winner shoes. Keep it up.
