I adore Harry Potter books enough to wear this shirt with pride. When I turned 11 and realized I wasn't a Witch, I was pretty much heartbroken. Nowadays, I just enjoy rereading the books and pretending I'm a character. At the lunch table today, everyone decided that ff I was a Professor in Harry Potter, I would teach Herbology or History of Magic and if I were a student, I would be in Ravenclaw (who has a secret crush on Ron Weasley).

I was so gutted on my 11th birthday when I didn't get my letter of acceptance to hogwarts, sometimes life just isn't fair! xx
so here's my idea for a practical joke: I'm going to buy an owl, hire an animal trainer, learn how to seal envelopes with wax, then im going to have a kid, raise him like a dursley but give him a stack of harry potter books so that they're his only source of joy, get the owl to deliver him a letter on his 11th birthday and then laugh in his face when he realises it's a joke.
I think it's funny
wow ! I love your blog...:) and the t-shirt too
I love Harry Potter! Epic t shirt :)
im so jeals of this tee. i love that you made it look legit too, the outfit is great.
im 21. my friends are 22. we still "play" hogwarts. i know. i know.
gah harry potter was such a huge part of my childhood, pre-teen and teen years. and my first year of college.
im in this children's cinema course and critiqued harry potter the movie vs teh book and the idea that it is such a phenemon that we've fetishized harry potter to the point that we can't even critic it without people up in arms.
im not really making a point but i thought that was a cool idea. that we can't really critique harry potter. or twilight. which was written so badly. oh mygod stephenie meyer.
My friend and I were convinced we were going to Hogwarts because of our birthdays. Mine is the same as Harry Potter's, and she was supposed to be (but was not) born on Halloween. The shirt is fantastic, and I agree that you would be a Ravenclaw (although I always had a crush on the Weasely twins rather than Ron).
i was in tears at midnight the day after my 11th birthday, such a disappointment when not receiving one's acceptance letter. and yay for ravenclaw!
I love love love this outfit. Oh and harry potter is my favorite pretty much everything that happens in my life reminds me of some thing in harry potter
WOW. I love harry potter. Its funny that you post this because a couple of my friends & I just sorted eachother online via the quiz & are planning ti go view the new film in July! We're going to dress up as our houses & everything. Haha lovely post. <3
I grew up in a different time; I walked around blinking like I Dream of Jeannie, and twitching my nose like Bewitched. I guess all kids want to do magic.
my friends say that i'm in hufflepuff, and im not quite sure if thats an insult!
I would totally be in Ravenclaw too.
Way to end a post about Harry Potter with a Thoreau quote, how wonderfully juxtapositional (i swear, that's a real word!)
If I was at Hogwarts I'd wanna be in hufflepuff, but sneak into Griffindor commonroom to do unspeakable things with Ron Weasley... we can share him! Woopwoop
<3<3<3
Awesome outfit. Great shoes!!
LOL I love you! For some reason this past week I've been thinking about Harry Potter a lot, I even wore my Ravenclaw shirt the other day. I like that we're so wavelength :D
I love HP! I'm so upset that the movie is taking so damn long!!! Have you read all the little books JKR has published since the series ended? I have. It hasn't helped my grief. =(
OMGGG i love you! haa i want that shirt soo much. i'm reading Afitz's comment and that is SOOO horribly cruel and funny at the same time. i'mstill waiting for my letter. they're just late.
As a fellow Harry Potter fan, I definitely support the look. I've also decided I would probably be in Ravenclaw. :P
I love you for flaunting this shirt with pride.
I dressed up as Hermione for the premiere of Order of the Phoenix, my friends took the roles of six other major characters. This was last year when I was 16. No one's ever too old for Harry Potter.
I was so devastated at 11, too. And I would definitely be in Ravenclaw, as well. You wear the shirt so well!
Were you seriously 11 when those books came out? I think I was in high school . . . you make me feel like an old lady! It's OK, though.
Cute outfit, as always!
lovee the tshirt, i have a very similar navy one but its star wars..both amazing...however i still havent read the last two harry potter books. i know, i know...i need to get on that :)
Yay Harry Potter! I can't wait for the movie, and I'm so disappointed there are no more books!
Hahaha, love the shirt! I was sooo disappointed when I wasn't a witch. At my school there is an english class that reads all of the HP books. I'm not in the class, but my friend is and one day we were studying together I finished my work she just finished book 2, so I asked her if I could read it. Well, after I finished, I had to go onto the next. Next thing I knew, I re-read teh entire series!
It was nice reading them all in a row like that, you pick up on so much more! Gosh I am such a nerd.
Anyways, sick blog! Check mine out...

Yeah, I'm definitely a Ravenclaw. I'm a coward (I preach the virtues of cowardice, in fact) and I don't really like controlling or hurting people. And whatever Hufflepuffs do, I'm pretty sure I don't. Plus I read two books about John Milton in the last week, so yeah. Don't ever read Stanley Fish, by the way. It will hurt you.
So awesome. I always wanted to be a Slytherin (evil I know!) but I doubt they'll ever take me, am too dorky.
i are hopelessly devoted to this outfit. it's perfect.
and don't worry, i'm still waiting for my acceptance letter to hogwarts
Agree, agree, agree....
I would so have a crush on Ron either !
i'm realy inlove with the belt

WOO HARRY POTTER! I love you even more for that. I got married at an HP convention. *cough* :D
i love your loook!! *-*
ahhh, that outfit is amazing!
I too was extremely disappointed when I hit 11 & there was no letter. What a let down.
Love the shirt! And this outfit with those brogues? Brilliant! What I wouldn't do for a pair of double buckled brogues.
Oh yes.
When I turned eleven, in february, I waited till September.
I was hoping I'd be a "Mudblood." But nooooooooooooooooooooo.
Harry Potter >>>>>>>Twilight. Oh dear God, so much better than that.
My boyfriend and I used to do epic internet quizz thingies to find out which house we'd belong to. I bet I'd be in Ravenclaw as well!
Last week a colleague and I spent hours talking about Deathly Hallows instead of working. It's great to share a common experience with so many people...
teehee. immense tee. immense outfit altogether really. i miss the excitement of new harry potter books...
