blank looks and no books

Pinstripe seersucker jacket - American Eagle, free at swap meet
Jersey pocket skirt - American Apparel, $30
Nude tights - Joe Fresh, gift
Suede shoes - Mephisto at Value Village, $7

I am wearing nude 'stockings' with what I'm 99% sure are orthopaedic shoes. It doesn't get much more granny then this. I've fallen and I can't get up! With my love for knitting, baking, tea and cats, it was clearly only a matter of time before I started wearing invisible pantyhose and shoes with arch support.

I had a pretty sweet thrift trip on Sunday, which yielded a number of awesome things. These grey granny shoes are almost brand new, and the pair of men's black dress oxfords aren't too shabby either. Yes, I bought men's shoes. Even though they fit well (a little wide), they make my feet look as big as boats. Lastly, I found a Disney shirt with Donald Duck on it! I've always wanted a vintage Mickey Mouse shirt, but have never managed to thrift one so old Donald will have to do for now.

Those oxfords are so perfect. I would be estatic if I found a pair that fit me good at a thrift store or something. And I've had a little urge inside of me to want a vintage mickey shirt.

This is such a cute outfit! I love that seersucker blouse and the nude tights, esp.!

Orthopedic shoes are so incredibly comfy (well, I expect that they would be). I've got a pair of orthos that just feels like I'm walking on clouds whenever I wear them.

& great score at the thrift shops! I think it's neat that you bought men's shoes; I always take a look at them, too, when I visit the shops. Guys like to turn in their unused oxfords, wing-tipped spectators, and brogues!

I always thought Donald Duck was better than Mickey Mouse, everything seemed to work out for him. Maybe granny is not bad, I mean I would take knitting and scones to 'school' any day.

I notice that your style seems to be alot more classic when you are at home and more ripped and rock when you are at school, kind of cool having 2 style personalities. Also, you seem to have the most marvellous, yet expeidental(?) range of shoes I've evr seen!

the shoes are darling.
and if they are orthopedic they must be terribly comfortable.

Was it the granny shoes that possessed you to do the "Charleston" in that first pic?
The Donald Duck shirt is a great consolation prize, I think he'd be my first pick.

I always look for oxfords in the mens sections at my local thrifts, but they never have any! Lucky you found a pair.

Cute outfit! Haha, I love the granny shoes as well. (: They look very comfortable and they totally work and look great with the long shot. And p.s, I'm sure you're aware, but granny sweaters--those are the best!
