I would also like to offer this obituary to my beloved pair of woven leather brogues. They first fell ill with a small rip in the month of April, but their condition deteriorated quickly and after May 6th 2009, the leather upper became fully detached from the sole. They were laid to rest peacefully on the same day. May their life in heaven be as fulfilling as their life on Earth.

Although I didn't think your new haircut was that bad, I do concur that it looks much better in curls! Haha, I love your expression in the first pic. You're the queen of Photobooth self-portraits (I assume that's what you used because you've used it before?)! Also, from what I can see of it, your top looks lovely! The pleats of the collar look so delicate.
Sorry to hear about the death of your brogues! I have similar ones and they're also beginning to fall apart...Shoe deaths are always so sad.
Your "shocked" face is a hoot.
So, was a memorial service held for the brogues? Or perhaps a wake, with them carefully laid out on a satin cloth on the table, next to the Irish whiskey. I hear brogues are like dogs, you have to immediately replace them to get over the grief.

I too have recently endured a bad hair cut and have realized it looks oh-so-much-better curly! Post-haircut-trauma set in when, as I desperately experimented with every hair product I owned, I discovered that I looked horribly, horribly scene with straitened hair. Now I leave it be, mess it up a tad and ta-da! Miraculous thank the heavens!
