But in the real spirit of things - an outfit post!
This was taken yesterday, so it's just another old 'work' outfit. Last year I went through a huge ruffles phase and acquired at least five ruffly shirts in about a two-month period. I was obsessed! I can't say I have the affection for them now that I once did, but they are awfully useful when you need something 'business casual' in a snap.

what a nice sweater, i love ruffles by the shoulders like that. you're so tall! in the best way.
The shirt's adorable! But for some reason those pants with those shoes together (while I like them both separately) kinda make you look like you have cankles.

some cities have parades, and if you're in ottawa (the nation's capital), everyone flocks downtown to the parliament buildings to party. oh and the most important part: we drink good, strong, canadian beer. it's fantastic, you should come experience it at some point!
Really nice biz cas look. I like the socks and shoes detail especially--it has a littl of your personlity.
Happy Canada Day.

(Hope your Canada Day was fun! I wore red and white that day as an homage to our northern neighbors.)
