It's not too often in your life that you're able to thrift a dress that makes you feel as good as Jackie O. looked. I found this 90s by way of the 60s dress at Value Village last weekend and couldn't wait to wear it! It fits like a dream, accentuates my waist and isn't even tight. Yes, this is pretty much my ultimate dress and was darn cheap too! It only cost me ten buckeroos.
I also amped up the 60s vibe by drawing on some "Alex from A Clockwork Orange" fake eyelashes. I never experiment with makeup (I still wear it, but am not particularly adventurous with it) because I don't care for the stuff much, but it turned out surprisingly well!

Eee gads kid. You have some killer thrifting skills, and I'm kinda sorta totally jealous of how you stick to your style so religiously.
Great dress! What a find.
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair?
And i love what you're wearing, i'm always looking for 60's style dresses cut that way. at heart, i want to be a mod.
oh i found a dress just like that recently .polka dots too i love it . yours seems to be a classier version of mine ;)
i like the whole outfits!! esp. the shoes...
That dress is classic, and you can funk it up too.
I hate to keep harping about this, but I swear your shelves look slanted to me. It's like you live in a "fun house" or something. Is it just the angle of the camera?
word ver.- dedinut- great...now I feel like some kind of zealot.
eh? I don't remember nething about alex's eyelashes from a clockwork orange. the novel right?
I love your shoes and dress so much! You literally look like you came through a time machine to this period of time from the 90s! Love it! All you need is the black and white. The make-up ended up perfect! Not too much and not too little.
check out my trendy blog!

That dress is spectacular! So simple and flattering. V. impressive find.
I love the eye makeup! So so cute. The dress is absolutely beautiful and flattering as well.
Great dress
Kind of Audrey Hepburn...the fit, not the print :)
Love that dress and shoe combo. Great pieces all around and together=perfection.
love the dress!
lovely shoes! :) you got great eyes
xx
I am mad for anything 60s and these eyelashes, are twiggy/edie remisicent, as is the dress(more twiggy), kudos to you.

I forgot to mention that Anthony Burgess is one of my favorite authors. He created the teenager language for A Clockwork Orange, and also was a consultant for the language in the movie A Quest for Fire. He wrote a lesser known book entitled The Doctor is Sick, it's effing hilarious.
I think you have the coolest photography equipment I have ever seen, if that's what's creating that weird effect. :)
this is REALLY great. i love love love it. and your makeup is flawless!
That's very fortunate with the fit...
so often it's the sizing that's the problem with thrifting....
You're making me want to make the polka dot dress I promised myself this summer.
Cute in polka dots!
The dress is cute :D
i got really excited for a sec thinking you were coming to SF...
i love playing with make-up. your lashes look extra lush!

Ooooh, I love that dress and those shooooes.
I can't wait to see your haircut, I think that's going to look pretty amazing on you, honestly! ^.^
I was Alex for Halloween a few years ago.. I had a jock strap thing going on and everything, haha.
The lashes actually look REALLY good! Not crazy at all, totally wearable. Hmmm, I kinda want to try that out today now, thanks! ;D
And the dress is, you're right, perfection. I too have been quite lucky with the ol' VV boutique lately. Seriously, WORK that Jackie O dress... you look hot, girl!
<3<3<3
I dig your Clockwork Alex impressions, but you're like a prettier, frenched up version though! (must be the awesome polka dots..)
oh my, i was just humming that exact song in your title whilst biking like a maniac. mere coincidence? i think not.
well first things first, that dress is uhm AMAZING. damn good buy on your part. you serve jackie justice.

you and ms. meckling are two of my faves.
side note: i feel that with her killer illustrations and your sharp wit you could come up with an epic zine. just sayin...
You've been dressing girlier lately I really like it. :-)
It is indeed a cute dress - Love your hair by the way xoxoxox
That is indeed the perfect dress. I cannot get over the polka dots. Lovely eyelashes, too :)
these people are crazy.
you dress awfully.
you have no sense of "fashion"
you don't dress for your body at all.
your blog is fucking called "hipster musings"
what the fuck.
i don't care that you will make it so no one sees my comment, i have solace in letting you know how awful you are.
I love the whole look! It's cute how your glasses add some special style to it! The dress is a steal, great find!

Where do you find all this stuff? I go thrifting all the time and find stuff once a month if I'm lucky.
Looooove the dress, the shape is killer. And any clockwork orange references make me happy, you look beautiful with the fake lashes. x
i love how you did the fake-eyelshes (kinda-not-really) thing, i need to try that...
Hey you hey you! When are you getting a hair cut? Gosh I hope you go with the short 'do; I had to study what hairstyles go well with facial frames, and you'll kick everybody's ASS with short hair! You're gonna' look fab! I discovered your blog and am now keeping up with it; you're a fun blogger!
I love your shoes. I've been loking that kind of shoes for ages.
