So I was poring over all the magazines I scored last weekend at my bff's yard sale and was absolutely awestruck by how LUELLA this editorial from a 2004 issue of Teen Vogue was. It's got the Ghost-World inspired Batman masks and everything! I can't believe this editorial is five years old and looks as fresh as it does. I'm impressed.

Sorry about the lame picture quality - my scanner has been malfuctioning lately, and my lame picture taking skills don't do it justice at all.

i love the 2nd picture, the girl in all blue!
I remember the masks really caught my attention when I got that issue in the mail. Most of teen vogue's editorials are still spot on. Part of me wishes I hadn't passed them on to my 13 year-old sister. I believe she cut them up and made a journal of "hot guys" out of the clippings. Haha, eesh.
Hey there girlfriend, you don't need to apologize for a bad scanner, they're evil.
I love Teen Vogue, their ideas are always so fresh & affordable.
I remember that spread! Love it!
cute!
I definitely see what you mean. I feel like, despite the fact that Teen Vogue by its very nature is driven by trends, its editorials have a very Teen-Vogue-specific aesthetic that defies time. I think it has a lot to do with the styling.
I looove ur heading pic..

Awesome spreads. I like the top one the best...very cool :)
I found that teen vogue editorials have changed so much over the years, they used to be so unique and now they're basically all about trends. but this is a very nice, and i love teen vogue. the outfits are gorgeous

I remember that was the first time I saw non-conventional halloween costumes in a teen magazine (I had been a slave to 17 prior....), everything looked (and still looks) so cool!

I actually love teen vogue. A lot - they have really great spreads. And that's totally still relevant, you're so right! I wish I had cool magazines from a few years ago.. But all I recall buying are "Just-for-teens" magazines. Hahah.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

That's insane! I can't believe they were talking about Seattle's weather in Canada. You're not even anywhere near. They must have really had a slow news day, haha. My friend Amanda was so excited to go to Canada for a concert and actually be able to order a drink. 21 is a ridiculous, arbitrary age.
I remember that spread its such a funky editorial and so so so Luella its actually uncanny

I haven't bought teen vogue since forever (around the same time I stopped recognising the cover stars, what is this High School Musical shit?) but really like the ed you posted. Reminded me of how creative it was!
