Just a funny funny funny sound.

I just had the most wonderful weekend of the entire summer - no internet, completely unfashionable, good friends, good times. All in all, I can't wait to move back to school in September. And I can pretty much recite all of Crack Fox while intoxicated.

[Bad candid pic of me with squinty eyes and Alex with a pornstar mustache.]
So I went thrifting last week, and haven't shown you what I bought yet because of the restrictive office dress code. Sooooo, I decided that show-and-tell through an outfit post was necessary. I bought this 80's shirt with a gold leaf applique on the shoulders, worn with a gold AA lah-may skirt.

...and this massive shoulderpadded menace. Sequins and lace - what more could the tacky drag queen living inside of me want? I'm wearing this outfit right now and I want to wear it all the time.

oh my that first shirt [and really the entire outfit] is fantastic. i like the way that the shirt is slightly baggy and the skirt is tight. the draping between the two is a nice contrast.

also i'm glad you had a fun time with your friends! i love unfashionable days out with friends just having fun.

"porn star moustache" You crack me up!
Both thrifted items are super cool, but I'm drooling over the second one.

It's great to get away from the web sometimes, isn't it? It's like, relief. But then it's great to go back.

Wow! Great pieces you've got there. I especially like the gold skirt and your black "drag-queen" top. I know you knit, but have you ever considered making your own clothes?
