Since we're on the topic of sequins...

From the moment I saw the documentary Paris is Burning* (in Womens Studies 101, no less), I knew I was a fabulous gay guy from NYC in the 80s trapped in the body of a petite Canadian female. Well, not really but it really affirmed my love for glitter + sequins and I am currently in the process of building up a collection of sequinned items.

For starters, this black sweater was thrifted. It didn't quite live up to my shiny expectations, so I cut up this trashy old belt and sewed it to the neckline!

This white sequin cardigan was a present from a friend who knows me all too well.

This blue drag queen top is one of my latest thrift finds. It's about ten sizes too big for me, but I knew if I didn't buy it then some eBay pirate would.

*Watch it on Youtube, you won't regret it.

Sparkly sequins and super cute faces = HOT. Like what you did to the first jumper, i'm a little sad that i don't own any trashy sequin belts now. xx

Isa, what you did with the belt is really interesting, and giving me ideas for necklines & belts. hmmmm.
Sometime, when I can give it the attention it deserves, I will watch that movie. Thanks for the suggestion.
And I'm with dearilou, you look adorable.

HAHAHA

Man this reminds me of my days of wishing I was a man so I could be a drag queen. Perhaps that was TMI. But anyways I love the drag queen shirt and I think you should wear it with leopard print spandex pants. Or whatever you choose to wear it with.

you are like my film twin or something because we are always watching the same cool movies. My fav part of Paris is Burning is maybe when Willi Ninja is vogueing and shading out and doing all that crazy awesome stuff. It's sad that all the main people featured in the film are dead now (did you know after one of them died they found the body of his ex-lover that he had hidden in a trunk in his apartment for 10 years? . . . okay end ramble)

I also love the sweaters. . . I wish it was cold enough in NY for sweaters right now (okay not exactly but i love the sequins). The closer-up shots are nice too.
