Isn't it funny how when you were younger, finding the perfect outfit for the first day of school seemed like the most important thing in the world? Now it's more like, "Oh, I don't have class until the afternoon and it's not a big deal." This is what I wore to my first lectures today, and thought I didn't spend hours agonizing over the details of this particular outfit, I'm still rather pleased with it's outcome.

When I was a little girl, I used to dress up in my absolute most favourite dress on the first day of school. And then when the teacher said I looked nice, my day just couldn't get any better. I started school a few weeks ago, but it seems everybody feels the obliquity to tell everyone that they look so nice.

haha, i hear you. the summer time it was all pencil skirts but now that i have important places to be and am constantly late, its whatever looks semi deccent and could i ride my bike in that?

i'm kind of a fan of pucci though i never really wear anything like it.
b-t-dubs- the one thing that totally bothers me is people in their pjs or sweat pants. but thats cos i live in new york and cant imagine going out on the street, with real ppl who aren't college students and look so sloppy/wearing sleep gear when ppl are in suits.

That top is so cool! Haha, I'll probably still plan my first day outfit anyway. I do have class at 8:30am after all. Ugh.
I try to wear something sort of nice on my first day of school because I find if I wear something really boring it's weird when I actually do dress nice. Like everyone is wondering "why is she so dressed up?" I know no one really cares, but I still try to start off well. I love your top, and the croc docs (ha) are awesome. It makes them a little classier maybe, but still totally doc martens.

We would get to pick an outfit out of the Sears catalog for the first day of school when I was a kid. They never had anything cool, it was a bunch of plaid or swiss dot stuff. No wonder I couldn't make any friends.
That top is a great score from Hail Mary, it can be dressed up or down.

high-waisted skirts are the best kind. :) and i used to obsess over the first day too, but now i'll just wear something i know i like/is comfy. then bust out the awesome outfit the second day when everyone used theirs the first! ;)
