And She Was...

After not having gone thrifting for months, the urges got so strong that I finally broke down and went to Value Village last week. And am I ever glad I went! The purpose of today's outfit is to display these finds (and you know, look good). My first excellent find was this black drape-y vest, which is cool because its unusual to find avant-garde draped stuff at thrift stores. My second excellent find was this pair of brown cowboy ankle boots! I've been looking for something like these for ages, and I'm glad I finally found my perfect match.

My third thrift find is so epic, that I can only reveal part of it so the epic-ness does not blow your mind. Yes, it is a sweater. It is a sequin sweater. If I could spin all of my life's accomplishments into sweater form, this would be the one.

Canadian thrift stores must be magical because you always seem to end up finding really modern looking/avant garde vintage--you look like you belong on a Scandinavian street style blog with that vest on!!

oh man the fist sweater is great and i like the two colored tights. i just achieved a similar effect by wearing only one thigh high. kinda funny.

WE HAVE THE SAME LEGS. well not the same legs, that would be freaky and sorta inconvenient as you apparently live the other side of the atlantic ocean to me. what i mean so say (in a very long winded way) is that i have those tights too hehe. xx

I'm so jealous of those boots, in comparison Brtish charity shops are so crappy. and there needs to be MORE sequins, hehe.

those booots. they deserve an extra "o." i feel like i should do a "shamelessly-replicating-isabel" post one of these days and wear my two-tone tights and cowboys boots (less epic than yours, durr...) and a crazy sweater or something... though obvs i would look terrible and nothing like you and hate myself forever.
you look purty.

Your outfit is sick.
And the Balenciaga on the previous entry is sick too.
I live in Canberra, and people are not very stylish around here- the majority of thrift clothing is old Supre clothing (do you know the brand Supre or is it just in Australia?).
Anyway. Ramble. Supre clothing is AWFUL and CHEAP.

Nice finds Isa. You know how fond I am of clicking to enlarge, and so now my mind is completely blown by the beadwork on your sweater. Too jealous for words, must go eat chocolate cake now.
Almost forgot, that drapey vest: how cozy is that?

I always find that when I go back to a particular thrift store that I haven't been to in a while, I have the most amazing haul ever! Oh, how I love how that works.

Those boots are wicked cool. What size shoe are you, btw? I want to see if I have something in my shoe pile for you.

And what about the tights? Is this a pair or two pairs? The cowboy boots are great. I love them because they are short. I always see long ones...
