Sweetness, I was only joking.

Looking back on pictures from last year, my immediate thoughts were "Sweet Jesus, why did I cut my hair?!" Those curls were LUSH, now they look like ratty dreads (hence the constant straightening).

Some people do heroin, I do eBay. Seriously, these are DOC MARTENS WINGTIP BROGUES. Two of my favourite things combined into one? I'll take it.

Again with the sequin jacket! I've been longing to own one and this one will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine. (Yes, I'm writing a paper on the effects of heavy metal on agricultural soil in the UK after the application of biosolids. Interesting?)

Lastly, I am SO getting in to the Smiths right now. Universe, please tell me why the heck it took me so long to be able to appreciate this genius?

well, the smiths is pretty much one of the best bands ever!! Nothing can be compared to Johnny Marr's guitar playing!!

Yes, you had a very nice hair. Hair grows. Don´t worry. I see you have been shopping some good stuff. Love the sequins blazer.

Strangeways, Here We Come = best album ever. Or one of them at any rate.

Holy fuck, same. I listened to The Queen Is Dead for the first time a couple of months ago and I was genuinely pissed I hadn't listened to it sooner.

Did you hear about Morrissey falling unconscious onstage at their most recent show though? :/ He's in the hospital now, I think. I swear to god if he passes on into the afterlife, I go with him.

You're right, those curls are super pretty! But I like your hair now as well.

Morrissey rocks, just don't try to go see him, you will be disappointed when he cancels the show, like he did for us earlier this year in SF. I hope he is o.k after hearing what happened to him recently.

I totally had big clunky black/white shoes like that in in high school 92-96. Yes I'm old!! It's so weird to see 90's fashion making a come back. I guess it's inevitable. For the longest time I couldn't even define what 90's fashion was because it was so preppy, simple and IMO kinda boring.

Ooh your curls were beautiful
The same thing happens with me, I used to have curly hair and now I miss it so much.

The more you straighten your hair the worse your curls will be. When your hair is damaged it can't curl.

Your curls were gorgeous! But I LOVE your hair now. And your eBay choices are fantastic. Bid, girl, bid!

Hey, I do love your hair in that photo, and that jacket looks super cool and also flattering. I have one that's really cool, but a really shapeless fit so I don't get that much wear from it. Also; 500 Days of Summer made me love the Smiths and until now I have claimed they are 'not my thing'. How wrong could I be.

You are definitely not alone in your ebay addiction, I'm in that club as well. I've been looking for the perfect sequined jacket, since I'm basically obsessed with sequins lately

The Smiths are SO GOOD. SO GOOD. AMAZING. Oh my god. Wonderful. And I was trolling eBay for sequined goodies and was glancing at that jacket, like, yesterday! My quest for the perfect ostentatiously sequined garment continues.

I've been weaning myself off eBay; it's so addictive.

I love old fashioned winding stairs like the ones behind you. Stop making that sad face, of course I noticed your pretty curls too.
I've wanted a sequined jacket ever since the first time I saw Desperately Seeking Susan.
Did you bid on the shoes?

I loved your comment today, btw. :)

Grow out your hair! I LOVED it when it was like that.

You still have time to carve a pumpkin, so...do it! Other than that, my halloween festivities will likely involve alcohol as well...too bad I have to work early the next morning.

Oh my goodness those shoes are great! I need to take a look at ebay more often..(hunting for a prom-dress. uh) haha~
Did you get the shoes?

Wow, I can't even remember when your hair was that curly! I should go back in the archives and read some of your earlier posts, haha. Either way, you do look lovely both ways. But yeah, I know what you mean...I recently looked back at some of my older posts and wonder why I shifted so suddenly to such a silly haircut!

And I have no idea why it took you so long to realize the magnificence of The Smiths. Isn't it just gorgeous music?

Also, kudos for showing me the most awesome Doc Martens wingtips(!), for listening to Pixies and having a riot grrrl playlist, and for doing a paper I can't even imagine doing because of its complexity and my inability to understand such subjects.

I absolutely love big mouth strikes again!
The curls were cute, but the straight bob is just as nice. Btw, your paper subject just literally boggled my mind.

Yeah, I know that academic deadline time, when you're okay outside but in your head you're just screaming constantly at the top of your lungs. In America we get drunk at night and punch people to deal with it. We learned it from the Irish. Not sure what you do in Canada.

The Smiths are awesome. Check out 'Meat is Murder'. Both song, which I find funny but probably shouldn't, as I'm sort of a partial vegan, and album, which at least has 'Rusholme Ruffians', 'The Headmaster Ritual' and 'How Soon is Now?' which kick ass.

hahah i love that you have a journal article open behind all those jacket photos, how very productive of you.
