If you can't stand by me, don't stand in my way.

This outfit feels very Sub Pop circa 1992 to me. I know that buffalo plaid is pretty much the lamest thing ever (except in this instance), but flannel is warm and I am chilly! Plus, these pants have miraculously managed to pick up a new stain every time I wear them, which just makes me feel that much more gruuuunge.

Long live the Croc Docs! (Cuffed pants + Doc Martens = skinhead? Here's hoping that formula doesn't apply. I never really like reggae music anyways...)

The white ribbon pin was attached to the shirt when I thrifted it last winter. Then I went home and learned that white ribbons are symbolic of the 'End Violence Against Women' campaign, which is really fitting for me since I am a feminist and all...

LOVE those docs, and I think the buffalo plaid looks charming on you. Cute outfit!

The white ribbon is even more fitting because last week (Nov 25) was international day to end violence against women. Wooo!

I love the way you rock super skinny pants.

as a canadian in the middle of freezing weather, you are in every way entitled to wear flannel plaid shirts :) plus, it looks lovely on you, so nonsense about it being the lamest thing ever!

haha I think that is a true plaid right there~ reminds me of a lumberjack, but there is nothing wrong with that!
(not that I actually like lumberjacks...I'm too much of a treehugger for that..)

I was just wondering how many pairs of docs you actually own. xD
Those are super cool though. :D

Okay, so I have a plan.
I'm going to find out where you live, then steal all of your doc's, Okay? Okay!
When I was 9 or 10 I had these amazing floral Docs, I didn't really appreciate them then. Rahgumph. It's too darn bad my feet grew.

Isa, there is something so very "Marilyn Monroe" about this outfit and your hair. I know that sounds crazy, but it's the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

Hello! Love the outfit! Although I must say skins do not usually hear reggae music...it'll be more like death metal or oi or something like that...

Guuhhh, love those cuffed pants with the EXTREMELY awesome Docs. I love this kind of look so much and am guilty of trying it out on several occasions yet 10 minutes in the outfit I feel too compelled to add glitter so there goes my credibility. And then I add a polka dotted skirt. Sad times.

yay feminist. There aren't enough of those around these days.
I got super mad at work today because my boss made me stay at the tills because one of the guys had "too much work to do" and then it turned out he hadn't anything to do (when I had). Yeah I went on a bit of a feminist rampage.
ANYWAY
I love the croc docs. They are kind of sexy. I am imagining somebody in the wild wrestling a crocodile and biting off the raw skin with their teeth to make sturdy boots. One day passed on and found by you at a vintage store. Oh yeah
