Tarantula Stew

Yesterday I wanted to wear something that was completely out of the ordinary for me, so I put on my Halloween dress and layered my Pixies t-shirt (plus numerous sweaters not pictured) on top. I guess I was going for a bit of a 90s goth look, circa Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice, what with the purple Doc Martens and all. Maxi skirts usually look awful on me, since I am not the height of an elegant giraffe, but I decided to try my hand at them anyways. Short to average height people of the world unite - you have nothing to lose but your chains (and/or miniskirts)!

I think thats its super awesome that you rock DocMartens! I remember my aunt rocking them in the 90's with black legging huge scrunched up white tube socks and a plaid shirt (a very 90's grunge style). I need to buy a pair of Docs! Awesome Post Again!!

Where do you come up with your post titles?
You look very artsy today. I would also love to see the look with a sweater, just because it would be warmer. (I bet your mom would be mortified if she knew you were running around in a t-shirt)
Have a happy week-end sweetie. Do something Christmasy. xo

I actually really like the maxi-skirt look on you! The belted tee is a nice balance! Super cute!

Are you reading my thoughts or something?? I have a thrifted black maxi dress that is just BEGGING to be made into a skirt, hopefully will get around to it over the break.

And yeah, that Norwegian movie is so boss, if anyone was to love it as much as I do it would be you. You will die from the music alone, I'm talking The smiths, the cure, jesus and the mary chain, and a plethora of Norwegian bands which rock just as hard. The movie torrent (with subs) is pretty easy to get a hold of, so you should see it. I've seen it 4 times already and I'm still not over it. Need to move to Norway now...

I think you look quite spooky in all black, with bare arms in the snow. But I love how you wear the maxi skirt with your docs!

um, LOVE this look on you. I don't think I can pull off maxi skirts but it looks perfect on you! Thank you for your comment about the glasses. I'm really liking them. You know, most people feel less sexy wearing glasses but the sexy librarian vibe is so strong with these that I feel more sexy when I wear them.

Brilliant!

PS, What a true Canuck, out in a tshirt and a skirt when there's snow ;)

Everyone says they can't wear maxis but EVERYONE can wear the right maxi. Seriously. Most people are going to wear a long dress for their wedding, not a mini!

You totally work the winter maxi-skirt. I surprisingly like this a lot.

It is incredibly disappointing that I can not pull off a maxi. On a lighter note, you can. Lucky.

I like the maxi skirt look, and it is very beetlejuice in the best possible way.
