First Thrift Finds of the Year

I managed to do some killer thrifting this morning. Yep, you'll never guess what I found.

1. The gem sweater of the CENTURY, this time in cardigan form. See those sequins? It pretty much has my name written all over it.

2. Tacky velvety shirt with leopard print buttons and trim. This is very classy/trashy, which means that of course I think it is awesome.

The grand total was $6. May bad taste prevail in 2010!

Love the gem sweater. Btw, love the Smiths and Morrissey! Currently listening to Years of Refusal :)

Pretty cardigan, I wouldn't mind one myself. I know I must sound retarded, but is a thrift store like a charity shop? Also, if it's not too much to ask for - do you think you could follow my blog?
Thanks, Katie x

Love it! There is nothing wrong with a bit of fabulous kitsch, in fact it makes the whole world a smiling happy place. Long may the 80s 'things we'd rather forget' continue!
Apart from maybe leggings as trousers, that offends me beyond anything.
That cardigan by the way is the sex.

I love the cardigan. There is so many things you can do with a sweater like that. I found some really sweet lace-up pixie boots a few days ago for only six dollars. I was thrilled. Happy New Year!

I will pay you 5 times as much as whatever you payed for that button up leopard trimmed top. I seriously loooove it. Already planning my outfit for it: high-waitsted black jeans, top tucked in and buttoned all the way, few chain necklaces, and h&m cream wedges....aaaaaah, so good!

ps- OH and obviously I love me a good gem sweater ;)

I can see you in stovepipe jeans and brogues with both of those. Some good thrifting there.
How was your New Years? We had a quiet one here. It's still quiet, come to think of it.

Ooh, what a find with that sequined sweater! Your brain must be sequin triggered whenever you go to thrift stores because I can never find any shiny things that are half as good!

Happy New Year, Isabel!

Awesome cardigan! My uncle gave me a hideous grey sequined grandma-angora-cashmere-wool sweater nearly 10 years ago. I found it the other day and haven't taken it off since, its amazing now.

I'm so glad I kept it, and so glad you found yours!
