Idaho

For this super funky hippy art class I'm taking, I had to create something based on what animal I believe that I resemble the most. I chose to create an outfit based on a peacock, 'cause we're both vain/appearance oriented (hey, isn't admitting it the first step to recovery?). The plaid shirt and Navajo-print skirt fit in with the blue-green peacock-y colour scheme, and I added the sequins for a little extra flash. It's clearly the best class ever when I can take a creative outfit picture and I'll get marked on it.

Seriously, this class is insane. For part of the final project, I'm creating doll clothes that will belong to characters in a short story I have to write. One of the outfits I made is a dress covered entirely in fake flowers.

Education is the best.

That class sounds AMAZING. I used to do art at school and miss it, and was thinking of doing a life drawing class, but then I found out it was at 10 on Wednesday mornings. Could I cope with potentially not great looking naked people at that time in the morning?? Er, I think not. Also, loving the ensemble and that skirt in particular- also especially since my surname is Peacock :)

That is probably the greatest class ever! I would love to meet the teacher!

The title of your post caught my attention first, actually, as I'm travelling to Moscow, Idaho for an international Jazz festival in a very short amount of time!

I have never had an assignment even REMOTELY close to these. Come to think of it, I've never had a university assignment that wasn't either an essay or a test... or an in-class essay. Funtimez, rite??

The Barbie dress looks ace. Whip up one in my size, kthnx

That class does sound wild. I do love that skirt. I wonder what animal I resemble the most...I've had several friends compare me to a fish...

I love learning. That flowery dress reminds me of - I think it was an Alexander McQueen collection from 2007? I need to find it, but yeah, it was all covered in flowers

Oh Isa, you really made me chuckle with this one. I'm glad that you are having fun with one of your classes, it makes the others more tolerable.
I think a peacock is the perfect choice for you. :)

Okay, this sounds like a frickin awesome class. Why doesn't my university have stuff like this?

Also, this outfit is amazing, the peacock inspiration is totally evident.

your barbie's dress is wayyyyy radder than any ones that i ever had. that's why all my barbies ended up naked. and mostly hairless.

Oh my. What school do you go to? Really, I'm curious.... and maybe a bit concerned.

That sounds like the coolest art class in existence. I wanna take it! In my town, art classes are boring, like beginning clay. There is a fashion illustration class though that I've yet to try. I love the flower dress. What's your story about?
