I had always wanted to try my hand at the DIY tie-dye process, so I bought a kit and experimented on my (expendable) frosh t-shirts. As you can see, the result was endearing but amateur.
When my friend invited my to a free tie-dye workshop I jumped at the chance, but later had to bail out to do homework. She ended up making a shirt for me even though I couldn’t attend the workshop and the result is pretty badass if I do say so myself! I am proudly wearing my new expertly hand tie-dyed t-shirt today, if only to sit in the library and write a paper.

I tie dyed tights one time! The results were obviously epic. :-) Cool! I am the first to comment!
I LOVE TIE-DYE!
I only own some black and white tie-dyed skinnies, but would like to increase my collection with the addition of a snazzy shirt like yours.
Can you send me a link or something of how to tie-dye? :D
The first tie dye is awesome. Is it embarrassing to say that it reminds me of an episode of Lizzie McGuire where her and Gordo tye die her sheets? .... I think so
i love your hair in the 2nd picture! epic
being a hippie at heart is brilliant. (I totally class myself as this, you know!)
Tie-dye is brilliant!
I've only ever tried with massive amounts of hot-water dye that you have to leave the fabric in for aaaages and ages.
Your friend did a wonderful job! Could she teach me? haha

bro. come to seattle. I will teach you to tie dye like crazy. I have all the shit. the dyes in the kits usually aren't very high quality. I bought a ton of dye and other materials a couple years ago and had an epic tie dye party with all my friends two summers ago. that being said, some of my favorite tie dye shirts are the obviously amateur ones.
I LOVE HIPPIES. But only because I'm one, too. It's all about peace and freedom. I absolutely LOVE the second picture.
I used to have a tie-dyed cashmere sweater but the combination of red/pink/orange made it look like someone threw up on me.
Ahh, tie-dye clothing is the best. I tie-dyed some whit epants of mine at campa few years ago, I grew out of them though. I was quite sad the day i had to give those up.
I have never tie-dyed but I do own one particularly sick maroon and lime green t-shirt similar to yours.
Just watched your video- I'm actually kind of in love with you!

Hey,
I love the tie-dye shirt in the last picture, it reminds me of looking into a colourful outer space. Your hair look really cute.
Tie dye rocks! Those shirts are all awesome :)
Tie dye make me really happy.. it always reminds me of good times and good music.
Wow awesome shirts! Tie dying isn´t very hard, just buy some dylon, make a couple of knots in our shirt and dip it in.
Really cool shirts! I really want to tie dye now. I think I´m a hippy at heart to.
i tiedyed all my socks once, i dont think my sport teacher was very impressed but they didnt look half bad :-D
Awesome! I remember tie-dying shirts at summer camp when I was a kid. Too bad you had to miss the workshop, but at least you still got a badass shirt out of it!
ahaha "beefy-t"...i too love tie dye. I tried it once, and failed miserably :(
I'm feeling the hippie vibe! Your shirt turned out really great. I really think tie dying is harder than you think (or I'm just extremely untalented). I tried to tie dye a white T-shirt once, but it just became a pink T-shirt with some weird white blobs on it.
Hey, I made tie dye in kindergarten. It was awesome.

I also have a weak spot for tie dyed goodies and have tried my luck at creating the psychedelia on t-shirts as well. After many failed attempts, I have decided to leave the task to professionals...*sigh* what I wouldn't give up to become a master of tie dying.
On the other hand, you look absolutely gorgeous in pictures and in tie dye!
Tie Dye love. You seem to have totally got the technique down. I miss dyeing stuff, last year for my textiles course I used loads of fruit to spot dye naturally & spent a week with beetroot stained hands. Amazing colour though!
I spent my teens doing all my own tie-dye, soo much fun. You make me want to do it again! I remember having some technique involving putting the dyed tee in a pastic bag and quickly zapping it in the microwave..
OMG! The shirt hippy it's great!
¡♥Besitos monosos fashionistas♥!
Kaai, I need to tie dye something now.
I love tie-dye, so much fun. And that new t-shirt from your friend is so great! I love the colours used.
