There is now living proof that I have entered the life stage of an advanced geriatric about 60 years too early – new thrifted granny shoes! They are sort of an odd combination of loafers, moccasins and boat shoes which is a quirky combination that I happen to enjoy. Also, I felt like I haven't been exploiting the sequins in my wardrobe as much as they'd like me to so I felt like taking this little jacket number out for a spin. Lastly, I'm wearing the new American Apparel 'riding pants'. For those who asked, they are basically stretchy high-waisted leggings with a zipper and snaps. If you're looking for real pants than you can forget about them, but seeing as I hate wearing real pants (jeans are so constricting!) they're perfect for me.

love the sequined blazer!
I feel your love for the riding pants. I have real ones that I would break out several times a week to ride and they are soooo comfy and they look goood? They're a body con dress/skirt in pants form ... delightful. I'd feel like an idiot wearing mine though but ... I may consider it. Down with regzzzzz pants (ew), riding pants forever. hehee
I have never seen an old lady look as cute as you in old lady clothes. I totally want those pants now.
I love the shoes!!

Love your jacket, hope it gets more appearances. And amen to the constricting pants not comfortable to wear. Stuff with stretch is so much nicer to wear. So much easier to do many more things in.
Cool look!

I still love your minimalist hair bun. Looks edgy but classy? If that makes sense?

Wicked granny shoes ma'am! And lovin those pants/leggings as well. I don't like wearing jeans since I discovered leggings, so much more comfy, and they always fit!
In our imaginary sushi date, we both wear our granny shoes and look uber cool while snacking on some sweet sweet sashimi. X
p.s. Have you seen the aa nantucket fleece jacket in person? Is it any good cuz I'm mighty tempted by it.
I agree about the jeans--you can't do much in them at all. But I like the jacket and shoes tons and will definitely have to go get a pair of those riding pants now!

& that sequined sweater ? DOUBLE THE FUN ♥
I hate jeans too, but the thought of wearing leggings as pants worries me a bit.
For you it just looks so natural though! And those shoes are lovely. The little fringe just ties them together, it's great.
Have a lovely day!

OKAY, WHERE did you get those shoes? I have the EXACT same pair, but I got mine from a vintage store. Unfortunately I got them trashed wearing them to shows too often, and I would KILL for a new pair! They're too damn cute and comfy!
Also, a fellow AA employee, I cannot decide between the black or tan riding pants aghhh!
