I am utterly exhausted from working all day every day but there is so much planned for the week ahead! Tomorrow I am going to a MEN concert and then next Monday none other than Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is visiting my town! I am a huge fan of the Queen (adoring the British Royalty seems to run in the family) and would love nothing more than to shake her hand! Any suggestions on what I should wear while I attempt to meet/stalk her Royal Highness?

Your sunflower dress is so spectacular and loads of other overused adjectives! Jealoooous.
As for The Queen visiting? You could always do a Gaga and wear a red latex Elizabethan dress! Or you could just play it cool, ykno act like you're not too bothered, wear some shades.
Though if you get right up close I'll be super impressed, the closest I've ever been to Queenie is being at the same racecourse!
The queen is coming to Winnipeg too, I'm hoping to at least see her.
My advice for what to wear? A fantastic hat as the top to a classy outfit. She clearly loves them, so you couldn't go wrong with that, I don't think.
I love how you dress! It's never too much and it's alway interesting and cute and kinda grungy somtimes.
wear some sort of fantastic headpiece!
maybe like this sonia rykiel?

You have to work all day every day? I thought AA was for workers' rights and stuff.
I love your dress! You could wear that to see the Queen and it wouldn't fail you.
I absolutely adore the sunflower dress and your dedication to doc martens is admirable in this heat. As for meeting the queen I have a grand total of zero suggestions though I'm sure you'll find something to dazzle us all.
Whoa it would be so cool if you got to meet her! I say go for a crazy hat! Maybe it'd remind her of home and Ascot day
Love the sunflower dress!
You're so lucky you get to see the queen,
I leave a couple days before she arrives.
You can wear something red and royal to help you stand out!
When I got to go to a garden party she was at, I wore my Boleyn "B" necklace :-)
I'm sort of jealous right now. I saw MEN open for Peaches and they won me over. JD Samson is so cool.
Oh my gosh you look so great in that sunflower dress! As to what you should wear for your Queen stalking session, I'm a bit stumped, but I think you should put your nerd socks in the mix!
oh wow the queen! i can't help you b/c i've never been good with royalty and/or famous ppl. i generally shriek and jump up and down, tho i don't think you'll get close to the queen that way..
adorable outfits! woah i just said adorable. i mean RAD OUTFITS.
I'm a new follower, via Tavi, so HULLO! :)
That sunflower dress is amazing, I had one just like that when I was like 6 and I miss it to this day. I wish I had known better than to let something that wonderful get away.
that dress is awesomeeee
I am so entirely jealous about the queen thing. Good lord! The number of times I (think) have been past Buckingham palace on the bus trying to peer over the walls. I want to see the queen!
To dress? Surprise her!
working the geek chic so well x

Don't bother about the queen. She's boring. Trust me, I'm British :)
you are so wonderfully geeky 90's. and I think you should def. wear the sunflower dress, it's very happy and the queen will probably like that.
The boots with the dress is fantastic!
I have been known to wear sequin jackets and shredded shorts to so-called "special occasions." So i am not fit to make any suggestions :(
Im in love with your style amazing looks

methinks a gathered skirt and cardigan would be perfect for curtsying to the queen.
The first one is casual, and still looking great. And the sunflower dress with the boots are just wonderful =)

She was in Ottawa yesterday! I didn't go see her, but her visit to the renovated Museum of Nature shortened visiting hours so the afternoon was free. Thank you, your majesty.
I love your sunflower dress! It's soo cute and reminded me of being a little girl :D

gah, in LOVE with that sunflower dress. too good. just wear that to try to meet the queen. maybe it'll make her smile.

I ended up here because of tavi's blog (both of you are amazing!)

That sunflower dress is just too cool.
I love it with the docs! <3
Wear the most brightest color shirt / dress. Then she will totally shake your hand!
Totally do an outfit of the day when you meet her / stalk.

ah sunflowers are my fave flower and i've been looking for a dress like that for yonks!
great find :)
You hemmed it! Looks lovely, lady. Oh, and say - or like, yell, from afar - "good day" to the Queen for me, from a true Kitchenerite (who just happens to NOT be there right now, or ever).
