This outfit is like the fashion equivalent of a mullet: all business on the bottom and party on the top! I love grandpa pants and spectator brogues more than anything but sometimes you just need to add a crop top to the mix to keep things at the appropriate level of 'weird'. I don't think my bellybutton has ever made an appearance on this blog ever, so it is very pleased to make your acquaintance.

I regularly lurk your blog and you've inspired me to buy doc martens, and mix florals with tie dyes. If I were you, I'd feel accomplished!
I like your outfit and I loooovee the bigger pictures!
it's like; material girl on top and then annie hall on the bottom.
lovin it.

i really love the colour of your top as well, oh and how do you do bellybutton?
love from amelia of la ville inconnue
This is adorable! I love it! ^^
I love this Isabel, it's such a great mix of prim and 80s trashy. Really liking the blog layout as well- always better to see bigger pictures! How did you manage to do that, I've been wanting to do it for ages!
I really like this !
hello belly-button, nice to meet you (that sounds sooo creepy)
great outfit! i really like how you wore the bandana (or whatever it is) as a headband!

oh I love the little headband/bandana you have rocking up there! Sort of reminds me of...hot air balloons, in a strange way.

Crop top!!
And I believe someone once said something similar about me last year, back when I wore bright colored tights every day. Apparently I was classy on top and party on the bottom. Which could have been taken in many different ways.
Your pants are absolutely perfect. :)
I love your blog... I am also a fan of crazy sweaters and grandpa-things and always enjoy seeing what you have.
Lovely outfit! Great blog too :)

Trashy 80s crop top AND 80s bandanna = greatness. The best way to dress.
Also your new header is awesome. Reminds me of an early 90s underground punk zine. Although I will miss seeing Kurt Cobain and his kitten up there.
haha.
belly button.
I LOVE THIS OUTFIT! The shoes are magical, along with the crop-top. I love crop-tops to pieces but I can't wear them, because it kind of makes me look like I'm trying to be a 20-year-old.
such a perfect outfit! I'm all about the rosie the riveter-esque head wraps lately.
good to meet you, button. sweet headscarf too! I just found some awesome silk patterned ones that may be just the right size, can't wait to experiment!
Loving the pants!
Cuuuuuuuuuuute!
the look esp. the headband=1950's factory girl to me
darn, I was going to say "nice to meet you, bellybutton" but it looks like someone beat me to it in quick-witted cleverness!
I've always equated crop tops with "trashy"/idon'tlike before, but I'm starting consider them a very versatile/ithinkiwantone piece of clothing as of late, I love the way they look with high waisted bottoms
Pleased to meet you, heheh ;-)
dear isabel,
make a how to for warm weather dress
sincerely,
caroline
I love this! the pants are great

You are awesome, Isabel. I hope you found some of those thrift stores I sent you, even though they sell things like lederhosen, which REALLY need to make an appearance on this blog. I'm glad so many people in Kitchener are German that thrift stores actually have a supply of lederhosen. It's 1:42am and I am insane.
That is all.
I love this look!
you have a cute belly button . and wow i never imagined your waist was so tiny ..im so jealous .. by the way is that an american apparel crop top?
Love this look! So quirky and cute. I am currently rocking a mullet and I gotta say, it is so lame it's awesome. The grandpa pants are my new favorite and that headband is so cute on you.
Oh man. Waist envy.
the colour of the top looks super daring. i love the neon shade!

Wonderful outfit!!!
Hello bellybutton! Haha. I love your blog- saw on the first kiss website that you're a contributor!! I bought my copy yesterday and can't wait for it to arrive in the mail so that I can read all the stories!
This crop top is an awesome colour, usually I'm not fond of this kind of croptop, mainly just cause everyone seems to be wearing them at the moment, but make it weird and unique with grampa pants and I'm on board! LOVELOVELOVE!
Hugs XD

I can't embrace the look o crop tops for myself, but it looks amazing on other people, like you!
Haha, this is a GREAT mullet.
XO, Neuter Kalin
I love your hair accessory! Way cute.
Anyway, thanks for that lovely comment you left on my blog!
PS: I recent post is partly inspired by some of your daily posts.
I'm loving these bigger pictures, and good grief you look adorable in that crop top! And that's a pretty difficult thing to do, haha.
Usually I am not a fan of a midriff-revealing shirt, but this works, probably because of the awesome combination of gramp pants for that healthy dose of irony we all love.
Pingu...anyway, love the contrast between the top an bottom.
lusting this outfit.. the headband is too great! Need it!
