Playful Gorilla

This t-shirt singlehandedly articulates how I feel about media and technology in culture. It's everywhere, you can't escape it and it's coming for you. My brain is so saturated with pop culture that the only books I tend to read are non-fictions that disseminate the effect of pop culture on society (see: Chuck Klosterman), which I guess means I try to be aware of my influences while absorbing them. The funny thing is, I got this t-shirt for free because I put a link in my sidebar, but I only put the link there because I wanted the t-shirt.

hahaha, that's so meta. You should definitely watch the Frontline episode "Merchants of Cool." It's from a few years ago but still really interesting and it probably changed my life. I know they have the full thing up on their website.

i like the bike shorts, i think i purchased the same pair, but i'm ashamed to wear them sometimes because it reminds me of my bike nerd of a father.

Oh my god, it's those crazy leggings again! They are so overwhelming but awesome. Hahahaha, I love how technology has worked its way into our unconsciousness. It's really like they're taking over our minds. This revolutionizes the meaning of the words "artificial intelligence".

That is a crazy cool outfit. I know what you mean about pop culture taking over the brain.

LOVE your outfit. Your musing seems to me to reflect Theodor Adorno's "cultural industry"

And free is always awesome
