Can You Feel It?

So I managed to get up to a little bit of 'shopping' whilst I was away on my trip to NYC. The only place I actually bought anything of note was BEACON'S CLOSET. Y'heard of it? You have to go. I went to the one in Park Slope which is apparently way smaller than the Williamsburg location, but I was still blown away by the quality and selection of everything. I found this ultimate Wednesday Addams dress, which is perfect for sulking while listening to the Smiths. During the long, cold wintertime I will wear it with weirdo leggings and Doc Martens every day.
The other EPIC FIND OF A LIFETIME was a Comme Des Garçons crushed velvet top. I was shocked to find a high quality, serious designer item that I actually liked just hanging out in the racks like that. The ruffled asymmetrical hem is so good I can't even describe it properly, and the price tag? Even better.

Let's get a close up shot of that. Awww yeah.

So I know that outfit was kind of weird, but the top is definitely more of a winter piece in my eyes, and I plan on pairing it with black skinny pants and my Prada boots.

duuude that top is amazing! How the hell is that $17...in NEW YORK??? You must have some kind of magic thrifting vibes or something. Also, I love the outfit you're wearing it with, weird just makes it better.

When you come back to NY you should go to No Relation Vintage in the East Village. It's like the Narnia of clothes...they have all this absolutely ridiculous and beautiful stuff that it's great to just gawk at even if you don't actually buy anything.

ARGH THAT DRESS IS AMAZING.
I tried one on a bit like that the other day with a peter pan collar and fitted waist, but it looked awful because my boobs looked all trussed up, it wasn't good.
And the velvet is amazing!Although I must say, not digging those cycle pants so much.

That's like super old comme too! It looks really nice, paired with your oddball-patterned hotpants. Awesome find.

That dress is way up my alley, like digging in my trash cans. I would have to go out and immediately buy all the weird tights I could get my hands on to wear with it.
