Excuse me for getting all down on your summer jams, but is anyone else ready to pack up the shorts and tank tops and just transition into the full-length pants and sweaters already? Perhaps I'm just impatient because I have my inspiration for Autumn all planned out? The look is going to be "nerd goth" and I'm already starting to rock it. Wheee, I can't wait to be sullen and read books all season long!

i'm with u! winter clothes are so much more elegant.. and i'm just tired of the glaring, garish sun
I am so with you! "Nerd goth" sounds really appealing, too - being sullen and reading books for the whole of fall sounds pretty good! :D
I am so with you on this. Nerd goth outfits all the way!
god, a little bit
all my shorts are so damn short and I'm just so sick of showing so much leg 24/7! I wish I were kidding but I'm so serious
oh no.! i'll actually pass on that.. i feel like summer just started . i cant get enough
ahhh, i feel the exact same way! i've already started buying stuff for fall. nerd goth, i dig it. and im sure if anyone can pull it off it'll be you woman.

Ghost World chic. Or perhaps I just love that movie a little too much...
loving the top! :)
Yes! I just purchased Bazaar's fall peek yesterday, and watched Bottega Veneta's fall 2010 runway online. I'm psyked.
Love the skirt.
I am so ready for fall!!! I'm not a big fan of summer dressing but as soon as the snow comes I know I will be wishing for the warmer weather. It's a vicious cycle!
"nerd goth" sounds amazing. yes, all this heat is so uninspiring. i can't bear to wear more than one scrap of fabric at once.
Absolutely - bring on fall! Although I must say, I'm a little nervous to experience my first Winnipeg WInter. All the more layers I guess?
I completely agree, I'm so antsy to start wearing tights, boots, sweaters, skirts, kasjdfkjsf. Eek!
xo Maddie.
Your look is literally amazing. The lace on the top goes so well with the simplicity of the skirt.
Lovage <3
Yus, totally w/ you. I live in a wasteland of humidity (coastal NC...) & loathe summer. Though I have yet to finalise my A/W look, so to speak, I know it will involve a dash of trad. UK skinhead plus ratty antique furs & lace minis w/ silk blouses.

Yes, I agree with you! Even though I'm not looking forward to fall/winter in general, I'm so tired of wearing gym shorts and a random t-shirt all the time. Not to mention getting lewd comments from about 10 sketchy guys off the street per hour just cuz I'm wearing shorts or a skirt. This fall/winter I'm probably going to wear lots of layered patterns/prints, thigh high socks or black tights, and Sears men's department flannel over everything.
yes! i hate summer. too much pressure to have fun all of the time + i'm pale and don't tan + i have very, VERY thin non-humid friendly hair
Dear Hipster,
I wrote a very important blog post. It's my first one... Underneath the one about Jesus and Rock Music. It critiques hipster cultures, among other superficialities that are destroying.
I like your blog, though. :-)
Best,

No, I'm not =(
I'd happily send this pseudo-summer we're having here in Germany, cold enough for full length pants and sweaters already =p
xoxo
Dig the lace top!
I mostly miss tights. 95 degree humid days make them inadvisable for summer.
cute! :D
Love that top!
hehehe, perfectly said. My to-read book pile is too heavy for summer reading. xo
This I love!!
but wait, aren't you already Nerd Goth??
I agree! Esp after seeing all the fall collections and adverts in magazines, fall clothes are so much more interesting than summer :)
