Sisyphus

The dream of the 90s is alive not just in Portland, but it my outfit. Empire Records-inspired fuzzy t-shirt, with a weird plaid skirt, leopard tights and my omnipresent brown Croc Docs paired with dark lipstick and unbrushed hair. Also, I'm starting to get into incense and I think I want to buy one of those 'evil eye' knecklaces, y'know what I'm talking about?

Ooh, I love this. I think you, Tavi, and Kathleen Hanna have successfully gotten me obsessed with the 90's. I love your use of animal print, too!
Let me know what sorts of incense you buy + like, I've been trying it out myself.
Also, if you care to stop by, I just published a huge post on my 2011 style direction, and I think maybe you'd like it. : )

Evil Eyes are an addiction of mine. They're huge in Turkey, and a friend of mine buys me something every time she travels there. I have necklaces, bracelets, hair pins. Everything. I adore them, and it's reassuring at times to think that people believe they capture evil. :]

haha it's all so funny. I love 90's too.

Do you remember those other kind of eye necklaces and rings that were really realistic? my sister had a brown eyed one, it was so weird!

I have an evil eye necklace from Greece! It's pretty sweet. I also got a giant cluster of all these lucky glass charms with a million evil eyes on them which hangs next to my bed, protecting me from evil spirits.

I absolutely love your fashion sense, and perspective.

If you want to get into incense, you should wear some incense perfume or body oil, as well as burn it in your home. That way the scent can be carried around with you. I recommend Comme des Garcons' incense perfume series, or body oils from Kuumba Made.

Have an awesome day!

Can't wait for Portlandia. Please tell me where I can get leopard print tights, I saw Cassie on Skins wear them once and they're pretty amazing.
