I am on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen.

Golly gee, I've been heavy into the long plaid skirts lately! This one is new from American Apparel and I figured I would continue in the cozy cold-weather grunge vein that I've been drawing from lately. The Michigan sweater is a souvenir from a super weird school field trip we went on to Ohio and Michigan a couple years ago, when the sight of people smoking in restaurants and pancakes the size of a man's face induced a reaction of severe culture shock.

Also, just managed to catch up on this Charlie Sheen celebrity-gate malarky. What do you guys think? I love his nonchalant take on social crack use, it is hysterical. Today I am burning Dragon's Blood incense in homage to the Tiger Blood that sustains his meta-human superiority.

love the skirt, and killer incense. I just saw Major League with Charlie Sheen yesterday, but I haven't been keeping up with all the to-do with him now...

Have you heard the Dubstep mix of his interview? It is awesome!

yeah he's saying funny stuff, but his history of violence towards women has stopped me from joining in on the sheen party.
it was extremely frustrating for me to watch coverage of his abusive behaviour last year be chalked up to him just being a 'bad boy', and in the past few weeks he's reaching some sort of folk hero status? great.

Anon: I certainly agree. He would probably say the Tiger Blood made him do it.

Charlie Sheen on women: "Women are not to be hit. They're to be hugged and caressed."

It's nice that you want to hug and caress women, but how about actually listening to what we have to say rather than treating us like cute little pets or shelf trophies to be admired.

Sorcha: Haha, thanks for the recommendation but I really really hate dubstep, so I doubt I would get any enjoyment from it.

Yaarrgh! Your sweater totally completes me. I am in a loss for words because I act like an old lady on drugs ( not reaally but still) Your skirt is so cool too. I am on this long conquest to find a knee length skirt however it is turning out to be as sucessful as trying to find the northwest passage. oh well!

I love that you're always up on the culturally relevant posts. Charlie Sheen, when you ignore his bad life choices, says hilarious things. Did you watch any of "Sheen's Korner"? He got the phrase "winning" tattooed on him. Also, plaid forever. <3

i'm happy to hear you dislike dubstep. it's a hideous assault on the ears in my humble opinion.

I think Charlie Sheen may be my favourite person in the whole entire world.

ps. Super impressed that you still keep up this blog, I had my own yeeears ago and you were always one of my favourites. Oh, and your tights are adorable.

Hilarity. His assumptions truly are outlandish, if anything. It is somewhat difficult to watch that interview! I certainly wouldn't want to be the one asking the questions.
By the way, loving the grunge look. Those tights are killer.

I thought the plaid skirt was a pair of madras pants until I scrolled down. Bravo, this is fantastic. :D

I don't support this at all. You're supporting a man with a history of violence towards women. That's not at all feminist of you and it seems that you identify as a feminist. So great job!

Isabel said...

Hey "Chistine" - you're a fucking idiot. How is it unfeminist of me to laugh at the ridiculous things coming out of the mouth of a half-crazed coke fiend? Does he have a history of violence that I am appalled by? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean he isn't saying funny shit. Feminists can have a sense of humour too.
