So while I was away for the weekend, chilling with my parents and getting weirded out by this unseasonable summery weather, I managed to get out of the house for a mandatory small-town thrift binge. I managed two totally solid finds.
I feel like Anne Frank (but not really, because that's kind of offensive) with these wispy pigtails, Hebrew charm necklace and 1980s lace collar dress that is totally pretending its from the 1940s. The dress is long, fancy, perfect and reminds me of the Winona Ryder dress that Sunshine was kind enough to gift me earlier this year.
Also, Look at these boots! Not only are they the pentultimate 1990s boots with their square toe and chunky heel, they are also snakeskin! SNAKE SKIN. Not the actual skin of a snake, but a real snakeskin print. Can you dig it?

Every time I see a black dress with white collar, all I can think about is early 90's and riot grrls :) When I was 14, I asked if my aunt could help me to sew that kind of dress too, and she did and I still have it :)
oh my god, your dress is fantastic, such a pretty lace collar!
So, it' s been a while since i've visited your blog but it feels nice to know that we are almost like real life best friends: Even though we haven't spoken in months, I come back to your blog and it's as if time was never lost!
You still look as quirky as EVER! I love that dress on you, it's very Wednesday Adams and I don't know anyone who could pull it off better than you! xoxo
Thanks for the boot reminder! I have a pair of Donald J Pliner's that look eXactly like those. Yay fall.
Sadly I don't think I can dig the shoes, but I am happy for you. The dress is another story. Amazing collar.
Ah perfect dress!!! You are totally rocking that 90's Anne Frank look like no other human being could possibly do.
Diiiiig!
This dress in incredible.
I'm so into 90s shoes right now too. I think I'll wear a peter pan collar dress tomorrow!

That dress is divine!
Well, for me the "bump toe" is the true test of total 90sosity (also known as, "fabulousness").
The square toe is just a bit too--square. I was obsessed with the bump. It's rounded, but it's square, but it's rounded, but it's square. And shiny!
Bump toes are the foot equivalent of the android eyes on the face. Totally wigs me out, in the best way.
so let's examine everything going right here:
a-line dress
pointy lace collar (HOLY SHIT)
square-toed boots
hair
verdict? A+++
this outfit rocks! i used to have 2 pairs of those boots in the 90s and wore nearly nothing else on my feet! i miss the crazy styles of the 90s! and love the dress!
Dress is PERFECTION. I just love hunting in thirft stores. :D
I totally dig that dress and shoe combo :DD
Queen Of The Sheep
that dress completes me. All the things you could do with that, creepers and a well chosen black lipstick.
I definitely can dig those boots. And that dress is so cute! Very awesome blog, I rather enjoyed it:)

lace is dowdy-magical. you wear it well!
I really dislike to be a stickler when it comes to these linguistic sorts of things (especially since I love your blog and still visit it frequently!) but..."penultimate" means "second to last," which doesn't work in the context you're using it in. I'm sorry! Just one of those "I hate to do this but I have some sick compulsion to" situations that everybody inevitably encounters in their lives. In this case, my sick compulsion to point out linguistic errors pours forth uncontrollably in the most irrelevant situations.
Okay, okay, I'm done. Keep up the super outfits.

That dress is so amazing, I need to find one like that. It reminds me of Courtney Love's dress in the Miss World video.
that collar is so pretty! my mom says she has a beautiful handmade lace collar for me, so I'll need to make a dress for it. I'm thinking a red wool 60s shift will be a nice change.
i totally have the same boots...and they're losing scales
O dark days! first thing that came to mind ( http://images1.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Beetlejuice-beetlejuice-the-movie-1073454_850_475.jpg )
