Thrift Find #1034: Spice Girls T-Shirt

If only I had discovered this t-shirt around 1998, my world would have been complete. The Spice Girls were the first band I was ever totally obsessed with. I had Spice Girls postcards, stationary, lollipops and Barbie Dolls, so this t-shirt would have been the icing on the cake. It may be slightly embarrassing for my 22 year old self to be repping my 8 year old self, but life is way more fun when you’re a kid anyways.

Haha when I was 8 years old I stole this EXACT SHIRT from my friend because I was so obsessed with them. In retrospect I should not have thrown it away because I felt so guilty.

Love it! I wasn't allowed to listen to them for some reason...I mean, I did anyway, but I wasn't supposed to. Of course my neighborhood friends and I would always pretend to be the Spice Girls. I was Posh.

I loved them. At the time, my favourite piece of clothing was my white t-shirt with a photo of Geri Halliwell! It's funny to look back and think of those times..So young and naïve ahah

I love the t-shirt!! I still have one of my old spice girls necklaces. I think it's safe to say that most girls of the 90s basically wanted to be one of the spice girls. You're right, being a kid IS way more fun. Children know what's up.

When I was really little, my 3-year-old sister bought these little neon biographies of each of the spice girls. We read them so many times they were practically committed to memory. I never even listened to the spice girls, but they still give me a wave of nostalgia because I could tell you their middle names and where their tattoos were located at the age of six. So basically I love this shirt.

http://www.youtube.com/user/LizzieBennet?feature=watch yes, this is me shamelessly promoting a video diary adaptation of pride and predjudice created by my favorite author's brother. DFTBA!

Yeah! The Spice Girls! I used to sing Two Become One with my high school friends not realizing that it's a song about sex.

Thanks for visiting my blog again. It's been a while, Isabel.
